01 / Capabilities

A focused practice.
An expanding scope.

We integrate control, sensing and illumination into everyday environments. Each project is developed around a specific requirement. Additional requirements are identified during development, usually after the enclosure has been printed.

01.1

Embedded control

ESP-based systems for devices requiring local logic, wireless connectivity or a reason to install another dashboard.

01.2

Addressable lighting

A domestic LED inventory exceeding 20,000. Channel counts are established during design and increased during procurement.

01.3

Environmental sensing

Presence, proximity and state monitoring. Bringing measurable certainty to situations previously resolved by looking.

LH–01 / Lighting

Threshold illumination

Perimeter lighting for a bed frame repeatedly located by occupants’ shins. Provides advance visual confirmation that the bed is still there.

Previous detection
Direct shin contact
Current mitigation
Addressable lighting
Commissioning notes

Acceptance testing requires reaching the mattress without first locating the frame by impact. Residual risk: the lighting makes the bed easier to see. It does not make it narrower.

LH–02 / Sensing

Occupancy assurance

Continuous monitoring to establish whether the person standing next to the sensor is standing next to the sensor.

Validation method
Standing there
Review status
Further standing required
Commissioning notes

A disagreement between the occupant and the dashboard is referred to the dashboard. The occupant is asked to move slightly to the left.

LH–03 / Control

Adaptive desk environment

Task lighting with a configurable scene architecture, designed to support the development of further task lighting.

Preferred setting
The first one
Commissioning notes

The original warm-white setting remains the operational preference. The other settings are required to demonstrate the capabilities of the controller.

03 / Independent review
“I think you’ve got a problem.”

The assessment went on to propose an Alcoholics Anonymous equivalent for LEDs.
